Моли́тва Иису́сова – краткая молитва: "Господи Иисусе Христе Сыне Божий, помилуй мя". В конце также часто прибавляют "грешного" или "грешную".
Для чего Иисусова молитва?
Обышедше обыдоша мя, и именем Господним противляхся им .
По благодати Божией часто одно слово, скрытое в сердце, укрепляет его, делает его непреклонным на зло и освобождает его таким образом от внутренней тесноты и томления .
Самый мощный и всепоражающий меч для духовно воюющих, есть навык молитве Иисусовой. Молитва и всегда есть меч… Но эта, если ей навыкнуть, будет меч, непрестанно вокруг обращаемый и врагов устрашающий. Возьмитесь упражняться в ней, пока не навыкнете .
Главное, тут нужно смирение, с чувством мытаря ...
Молитва Иисусова, по научению святых отцов, прилична, когда человек идет, или сидит, или лежит, пьет, ест, беседует или занимается каким рукоделием, кто может при всем этом произносить молитву Иисусову со смирением, тот не должен оставлять оной, за оставление же укорять себя и каяться со смирением, но не смущаться, потому что смущение, какое бы оно ни было, есть признак тайной гордости и доказывает неопытность и неискусство человека в прохождении своего дела .
Такая молитва требует наставления, безгневия, молчания и смиренного самоукорения во всяком неприятном случае .
Отцы святые советуют во время молитвы смотреть внутрь сердца, а не сверху и не сбоку, и особенно, если внимание ума нисходит ниже сердца, тогда возбуждается плотская страсть .
Без руководства эту молитву проходить опасно .
Чтобы всегда иметь память о Боге, для этого и молитва Иисусова .
Первая ступень – молитва устная; когда ум часто отбегает и человеку надо употреблять большое усилие, чтобы собрать свои рассеянные мысли. Это молитва трудовая, но она дает человеку покаянное настроение. Вторая ступень – молитва умно-сердечная, когда ум и сердце, разум и чувства заодно; тогда молитва совершается беспрерывно, чем бы человек ни занимался: ел, пил, отдыхал – молитва все совершается ...
Я долго... не мог понять, что такое соединение ума с сердцем. В сущности говоря, это значит соединение всех сил души воедино для устремления их всех к Богу, что невозможно при разъединенности их .
Путь молитвы Иисусовой есть путь кратчайший, самый удобный. Но не ропщи, ибо всякий идущий этим путем испытывает скорби .
Усердствующий обучаться этому Божественному деланию должен, по святому Симеону Новому Богослову, предать себя душою и телом в послушание, согласное со Священным Писанием; то есть предать себя в полное отсечение своей воли и своего рассуждения – человеку, боящемуся Бога, усердному хранителю Его Божественных заповедей и не неопытному в этом мысленном подвиге, могущему, по писанию святых отцев, показать повинующемуся незаблудный путь ко спасению, – путь умного делания молитвы, тайно совершаемой умом в сердце .
Основанием для упражнения молитвою Иисусовою служит поведение благоразумное и осторожное. Во-первых, должно устранить от себя изнеженность и наслаждения плотские во всех видах. Должно довольствоваться пищею и сном постоянно умеренными, соразмерными с силами и здоровьем, чтоб пища и сон доставляли телу должное подкрепление, не производя непристойных движений, которые являются от излишества, не производя изнеможения, которое является от недостатка. Одежда, жилище и все вообще вещественные принадлежности должны быть скромные, в подражание Христу, в подражание Апостолам Его, в последование духу их, в общение с духом их. Святые Апостолы и истинные ученики их не приносили никаких жертв тщеславию и суетности, по обычаям мира, не входили ни в чем в общение с духом мира. Правильное, благодатное действие молитвы Иисусовой может прозябнуть только из Духа Христова, прозябает и произрастает оно исключительно на одной этой почве. Зрение, слух и прочие чувства должны быть строго хранимы, чтобы через них, как через врата, не ворвались в душу супостаты. Уста и язык должны быть обузданы, как бы окованы молчанием; празднословие, многословие, особливо насмешки, пересуды и злоречие суть злейшие враги молитвы. От принятия братии в свою келию, от хождения в их келий должно отказаться: должно пребывать терпеливо в своей келии, как в гробе с мертвецом своим – с своею душою, истерзанною, убитою грехам – молить Господа Иисуса о помиловании .
Желающий приступить к Богу и усвоиться Ему постоянным присутствием в молитве, осмотрись! Исследуй тщательно твой образ мыслей: не заражен ли ты каким-либо лжеучением? В точности ли и без исключений последуешь учению Восточной Церкви, единой истинной, святой, апостольской?.. Сознание своей греховности, сознание своей немощи, своего ничтожества – необходимое условие для того, чтоб молитва была милостиво принята и услышана Богом... Желающий заняться подвигом молитвы! Прежде, нежели приступишь к этому подвигу, постарайся простить всякому огорчившему, оклеветавшему, уничижившему тебя, всякому, причинившему тебе какое бы то ни было зло .
Нужны и время и постепенность в подвиге, чтобы подвижник созрел для молитвы во всех отношениях. Как цвет и плод произрастают на стебле или древе, которые сами прежде должны быть посеяны и вырасти, так и молитва произрастает на других добродетелях, иначе не может явиться, как на них. Не скоро инок справится с умом своим, он не скоро приучит ум свой пребывать в словах молитвы, как бы в заключении и затворе .
Начинают с средины те новоначальные, которые, прочитав в Отеческих писаниях наставление для упражнения в молитве Иисусовой, данное Отцами безмолвникам, то есть, монахам, уже весьма преуспевшим в монашеском подвиге, необдуманно принимают это наставление в руководство своей деятельности. Начинают с средины те, которые, без всякого предварительного приготовления, усиливаются взойти умом в сердечный храм, и оттуда воссылать молитву. С конца начинают те, которые ищут немедленно раскрыть в себе благодатную сладость молитвы и прочие благодатные действия ее. Должно начинать с начала, то есть, совершать молитву со вниманием и благоговением, с целью покаяния, заботясь единственно о том, чтоб эти три качества постоянно соприсутствовали молитве .
Правильное упражнение молитвою Иисусовою вытекает само собой из правильных понятий о Боге, о всесвятом имени Господа Иисуса и об отношении человека к Богу .
Иисусову молитву твори всегда, потому что призывание имени Господа помогало даже и язычникам .
Рассеиваешься иногда при молитве Иисусовой. Трудно, чтобы никогда не рассеиваться. Это свойственно только совершенным; а мы с тобой люди грешные. На языке, говоришь, молитва, а на уме Бог весть что; и потому, думаешь, не оставить ли в таком случае молитву. Нет, не оставляй. Лучше сухим хлебом питаться, нежели оставаться совсем без хлеба .
Начните с небольшого: после каждой утренней и вечерней молитвы, если ничего не мешает, проговаривайте: "Господи Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя грешного!" ...
Делание молитвы Иисусовой просто: стать вниманием в сердце пред лицем Господа и взывать к нему: Господи, Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя! Дело не в словах, а в вере, сокрушении и предании себя Господу. С сими чувствами можно предстоять Господу и без слов... и это будет молитва ...
Сила не в словах молитвы Иисусовой, а в духовном настроении, страхе Божием и преданности Богу и во всегдашнем внимании к Богу и Ему предстоянии умном .
Совершая сию молитву, ко Господу Спасителю обращенную, не надо выпускать из внимания, что Он есть Един от Пресвятыя Троицы, нераздельный со Отцем и Святым Духом .
Не забывайте, что не должно ограничиваться одним механическим повторением слов молитвы Иисусовой. Это ни к чему не приведет, кроме механического навыка повторять сию молитву языком, даже не думая о том. И это, конечно, не худо… Но составляет самую дальнюю внешнюю окраину сего дела .
Относительно умной молитвы держите одну предосторожность, чтоб при непрестанном памятовании о Боге не забывать возгревать и благоговейный страх, – и позыв падать в прах пред лицем Бога, милостивейшего Отца, но и грозного Судии. Частое памятование о Боге без благоговеинства притупляет чувство страха Божия и чрез то лишает его того спасительного действия, которое ему принадлежит ...
Молитве Иисусовой навыкать постарайтесь так, чтобы она сама собою говорилась... и на ходу, и при работе ...
Соединять молитву Иисусову с дыханием, как вы делаете, можно. Это сказал кто-то из древних. Дыхание вместо чёток .
Дыхания не надо вам стеснять и на сердце натиска не делать, а свободною мыслию творить молитву. Ведайте, что молитва, истинно духовная, прививается благодатию .
Произносить молитву Иисусову должно не громким голосом, но тихо, вслух себе одному .
Если увидишь, что возникают помыслы, не внимай им, хотя бы они были простые и добрые... Заключая ум в сердце и призывая Господа Иисуса часто и терпеливо, ты скоро сокрушишь такие помыслы и истребишь их, поражая невидимо Божественным именем .
Всякий, чтущий Бога, чтит и Его имя. Но спасает человека не имя Иисуса Христа, а Сам Христос, и спасает не всех, а кто уверует в Него и крестится, и живет по заповедям Его, а в нарушениях кается. Чем больше угодники Божии любили Господа, тем дороже для них становилось и имя Божие. Отсюда и происходит недоумение. В имени Божием присутствует Господь, но имя Божие не есть Сам Бог, как говорили имяславцы, и спасает не имя, а Господь, присутствующий в имени. Призывая имя Божие, мы призываем Бога и Им, Богом, спасаемся, а не сочетанием звуков имени Его .
Святые Отцы говорят, что все молитвы можно заменить одной Иисусовой. Правильное делание этой молитвы будет тогда, когда она сочетается неразрывно с покаянием, будет выражением сердечного сокрушения о своем недостоинстве, греховности, сознания постоянного нарушения заповедей Евангелия .
От этого святого имени, пред которым преклоняется всякое колено небесных, земных и преисподних, ослабеет действие вражие, войдет в сердце мир, надежда и вера, и умиление... и пройдет все искушение .
Опасности "сердечной" молитвы
Хоть шепотом произноси молитву (Иисусову), а от умной многие повредились .
Держи больше устную молитву, тогда и избавишься от подобных движений; от устной молитвы никто не впадал в прелесть; а умную, сердечную молитву без наставления проходить опасно .
Устную молитву как бы кто ни проходил, не было примеров, чтобы впадал в прелесть вражескую. А умную и сердечную молитву проходящие неправильно нередко впадают в прелесть вражескую. И потому прежде всего должно держаться крепче устной молитвы, а потом умной. Со смирением, а затем уже, кому удобно и кому благоволит Господь, переходить к сердечной .
Касательно умной и сердечной молитвы, к которой ты так расположена, скажу, что враг наш душевный не восстает так ни против какой добродетели, как против молитвы, в особенности умной и сердечной, всеми способами подвизает человека на гнев и на немирствие против других .
Сумасшествие от молитвы Иисусовой может произойти тогда, когда, творя эту молитву, не отступают от каких-либо грехов и привычек грешных, кои осуждает совесть. При сем внутри происходит глубокий разлад, прогоняющий всякую мирность сердца ...
Нет места для истинной молитвы в сердце, не благоустроенном и не настроенном евангельскими заповедями... Многие, ощутив расположение и усердие к духовному подвигу, приступают к этому подвигу опрометчиво и легкомысленно. Они предаются ему со всею ревностью и разгорячением, со всею безрассудностью, не поняв, что эти ревность и разгорячение – наиболее кровяные и плотские, что они преисполнены нечистоты и примеси, не поняв, что, при изучении науки из наук – молитвы, нужно самое верное руководство, нужны величайшее благоразумие и осторожность .
Причина прелести – не молитвословие, не псалмы, не каноны и акафисты, не молитва Иисусова, – нет! Сохрани Боже всякого от такового богохульства! Гордость и ложь – вот причины прелести!
Все виды бесовской прелести, которым подвергается подвижник молитвы, возникают из того, что в основание молитвы не положено покаяние, что покаяние не сделалось источником, душою, целью молитвы .
Иоанн (Алексеев) , схиигум.:
Молитва имеет три названия: устная, умная и умно-сердечная. Устная читается языком, когда находишься одна – вслух, а при других молча. Умная молитва произносится одним умом. Умно-сердечная молитва – соединенными умом и сердцем; и к этой молитве не стремись, она к твоей жизни не идет. Такая молитва требует уединения, и без уединения она не может быть, и уединение без молитвы тоже не может быть .
Для чего мы читаем молитву Иисусову? Чтобы, постоянно помня Господа и каясь в грехах, прийти в духовное умиротворение, внутреннее безмолвие и любовь к ближнему и правде – тогда мы живем в Боге, Который есть любовь. Но есть люди, которые смотрят на эту молитву, как на некую магию, которая им доставит чтение мыслей, прозрение, дар чудотворений и исцелений и т. п. Такой подход к молитве крайне греховен. Так поступающие обольщаются бесами, которые дают им от себя некую власть, чтобы их совсем погубить, навеки .

Распространенные молитвы

Эта молитва называется начальною, потому что произносится прежде других молитв, в начале молитв. В этой молитве мы просим Бога Отца, Бога Сына и Бога Духа Святого, то есть Пресвятую Троицу, невидимо благословить нас на предстоящее дело Своим именем.

Господи, помилуй!
Помилуй - означает, будь милостив, прости. Данная молитва одна из древнейших и общая у всех христиан. Произносится, когда вспоминаем наши грехи. Во славу Святой Троицы эта молитва произносится три раза. Произносится 12 раз, спрашивая у Бога благословение на каждый час дня и ночи; 40 раз, для освящения всей нашей жизни.

Молитва произносится по окончании дела в знак благодарности Богу за Его милости.
Молитва ко Господу Иисусу Христу
Господи Иисусе Христе, Боже мой, покрый мя и раб твоих (имена) от злобы супостата нашего, зане сила его крепка, естество же наше страстно и сила наша немощна. Ты убо, о Благий, сохрани мя от смущения помыслов и потопа страстей. Господи, Пресладкий мой Иисусе, помилуй и спаси мя и рабов Твоих (имена).
Молитва вторая ко Господу Иисусу Христу

Молитва четвертая ко Господу Иисусу Христу
Господи! Се сосуд Твой есмь: наполни мя дарованиями Духа Твоего Святого, без Тебя я пуст всякого блага, или паче полн всякого греха. Господи! Се корабль Твой есмь: исполни мя грузом добрых дел. Господи! Се ковчег Твой: исполни его не прелестью сребролюбия и сластей, а любовию к Тебе и к одушевленному образу Твоему - человеку.
Некоторые ошибочно думают, что только для монахов. Однако Оптинские старцы наставляли и мирян заниматься Иисусовой молитвой. Преподобный Варсонофий (Плиханков) учил:
«Чтобы всегда иметь память о Боге, для этого и молитва Иисусова».
Преподобный писал о разных ступенях молитвы:
«Молитва Иисусова разделяется на три, даже на четыре ступени. Первая ступень - молитва устная; когда ум часто отбегает и человеку надо употреблять большое усилие, чтобы собрать свои рассеянные мысли. Это молитва трудовая, но она дает человеку покаянное настроение.
Вторая ступень - молитва умно-сердечная, когда ум и сердце, разум и чувства заодно; тогда молитва совершается беспрерывно, чем бы человек ни занимался: ел, пил, отдыхал - молитва всё совершается.
Третья ступень - это уже молитва творческая, которая способна передвигать горы одним словом. Тогда такую молитву имел, например, преподобный пустынник Марк Фраческий.
Наконец, четвертая ступень - это такая высокая молитва, которую имеют только ангелы и которая дается разве одному человеку на всё человечество».
Для лучшего понимания того, какие дары посылает Господь молитвенникам и какая молитва соответствует уровню духовного возрастания молящегося, преподобный Варсонофий пояснял подробно:
«Первый от Господа дар в молитве - внимание, то есть когда ум может держаться в словах молитвы, не развлекаясь помыслами. Но при такой внимательной, неразвлекательной молитве сердце еще молчит. В этом-то и дело, что у нас чувства и мысли разъединены, нет согласия в них. Таким образом, первая молитва, первый дар есть молитва неразвлекаемая.
Вторая молитва, второй дар - это внутренняя молитва, то есть когда чувства и мысли в согласии направлены к Богу. До сих пор всякая схватка со страстию оканчивалась победой страсти над человеком, а с этих пор, когда молятся ум и сердце вместе, то есть чувства и мысли в Боге, страсти уже побеждены. Побеждены, но не уничтожены, они могут ожить при нерадении, здесь страсти подобны покойникам, лежащим в гробах, и молитвенник, чуть страсть зашевелится, бьет и побеждает.
Третий дар есть молитва духовная. Про эту молитву я ничего не могу сказать. Здесь в человеке нет уже ничего земного. Правда, человек еще живет на земле, по земле ходит, сидит, пьет, ест, а умом, мыслями он весь в Боге, на небесах. Некоторым даже открывались служения ангельских чинов. Эта молитва - молитва видения. Достигшие этой молитвы видят духовные предметы, например состояние души человека, так, как мы видим чувственные предметы, - как будто на картине. Они смотрят уже очами духа, у них смотрит уже дух».
Как правильно творить Иисусову молитву
Учил молиться в простоте сердца, ожидая милосердия Божия: только один Господь знает, что на пользу для каждого конкретного человека:
«Молитву Иисусову проходи, как творишь, и приидет время, когда самое дело и милосердие Божие просветит и вразумит вашу душу, как и кого вопросить, и послётся, что ищешь и желаешь».
Старцы советовали произносить Иисусову молитву как можно чаще, но не искать при этом каких-то особых приятных чувств, духовных утешений и наслаждений.
Преподобный Амвросий объяснял:
«Устную молитву как бы кто ни проходил, не было примеров, чтобы впадал в прелесть вражескую. А умную и сердечную молитву проходящие неправильно нередко впадают в прелесть вражескую. И потому, прежде всего, должно держаться крепче устной молитвы, а потом умной, со смирением, а затем уже, кому удобно и кому благоволит Господь, переходить к сердечной, по указанию святых отцев, опытом прошедших всё это».
На вопрос, как достигнуть сердечной молитвы и что означает «опускать ум в сердце», отвечал, предостерегая:
«Сердечного места отыскивать не до лжно: когда возрастет молитва, она сама отыщет оное. Наше старание - заключать ум в слова: “Господи Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя, грешную”».
Во время Иисусовой молитвы часто находит буря помыслов, которые всевает враг.
Преподобный Иларион учил не противоречить вражьим помыслам, так как это под силу только опытным молитвенникам, а просто продолжать молиться в простоте сердечной, уповая на милость Божию:
«А если когда против желания ум пленится, тогда продолжать молитву, а не противоречить - противоречить не твоей еще меры».
Оптинские старцы предупреждали о необходимости смирения при молитве. Как-то духовное чадо отца Амвросия пожаловалась ему на то, что при произнесении Иисусовой молитвы она запинается на словах «Помилуй мя, грешную». Старец отвечал:
«Пишешь ты, что в молитве Иисусовой есть у тебя какое-то запинание на словах “Помилуй мя, грешную”; это показывает, что прежде эта молитва совершалась тобою без должного смирения, без которого неприятна Богу и молитва наша. Поэтому принудь себя ударять на слово “грешную” с должным понятием».
Напоминал о том, что идущий путем Иисусовой молитвы может претерпевать скорби, которые, однако, нужно принимать без ропота:
«Путь молитвы Иисусовой есть путь кратчайший, самый удобный. Но не ропщи, ибо всякий идущий этим путем испытывает скорби».
Об опасности «выпрашивания» духовных даров и молитвы высокой степени
Оптинские старцы предостерегали от самовольного стремления добиваться более высокого уровня молитвы или домогаться духовных даров, будь то слезы на молитве или чистота и бесстрастие.
Преподобный Лев писал, что, не очистив сердца, не победивши страстей, нельзя сохранить духовное богатство без вреда для себя:
«Вы, вкусивши по милосердию Божию сладость и утешение от молитвы, теперь не обретая сего в себе, смущаетесь, унываете, считаете себя виновницей сей потери, и ваше нерадение - это истинная правда. Но я нахожу здесь и Промысл Божий, отъявший от вас сие утешение. Не победивши страстей и не очистивши сердца своего, можно ли сохранить это богатство без вреда! И не дастся вам оно к пользе вашей, дабы не впали в прелесть».
Преподобный Варсонофий также предостерегал об опасности «выпрашивания» даров и молитвы высокой степени:
«Молиться о даровании молитвы внимательной можно, но молиться о даровании высоких молитвенных состояний, я полагаю, погрешительно. Это надо всецело предоставить Богу. Некоторые выпрашивают себе молитву высокой степени; Господь давал им по безграничному Своему милосердию, но им самим она не была впрок…»
Написал статью «Предостережение читающим духовные отеческие книги и желающим проходить умную Иисусову молитву», где он предупреждал, что Иисусову молитву нужно читать просто и главным должно быть чувство покаяния, а не искание высоких духовных даров.
Преподобный Макарий учил:
«Помните: дар молитвы, а не собственность твоя; надобно сей дар заслуживать не одною молитвою, но и прочими благими делами: смиренномудрием, простотою, терпением, простодушием, а без сих добродетелей хотя, мнится, кто якобы стяжал молитву, но прельщается: не молитва это, но маска молитвы».
Вот слова молитвы Иисусовой: "Господи Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя, грешного". Употребляется также более короткая форма: "Иисусе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя". Епископ-мученик Игнатий непрестанно повторял имя Иисуса. Молитва Иисусова также предназначена для беспрерывного произношения. Так осуществляется прямой призыв апостола: "Непрестанно молитесь" (1Фес. 5:17).
Каким образом молитва Иисусова становится непрестанной молитвой? Мы начинаем с того, что беспрерывно повторяем слова: "Господи Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя, грешного". Мы можем повторять их вслух, очень тихо или просто про себя. По опыту мы вскоре заметим, что творить непрестанную молитву совсем не так просто. В этом нужно целеустремленно упражняться. Мы можем отвести для творения молитвы Иисусовой определенное время дня. Хорошо также включить молитву Иисусову в наше молитвенное правило. Так, читая утренние молитвы, мы можем перед каждой молитвой прочитать ее десять раз. Иногда сразу же после начинательных молитв можно читать молитву Иисусову вместо утренних молитв и повторять ее например 5 или 10 минут, т. е. в течение того времени, которое обычно необходимо для чтения утренних молитв. Во время вечерних молитв мы тоже можем упражняться в молитве Иисусовой.
Но молитва Иисусова тем исключительна, что она не является молитвой, предназначенной только для определенного времени. В православном молитвеннике о ней говорится: "Во время работы и во время отдыха, дома и во время пути, когда мы одни или среди других, всегда и везде повторяй п своем уме и своем сердце сладостное имя Господа Иисуса Христа, говоря так: "Господи Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя, грешного".
